- Everything around us is either living or non-living.
- Living things grow, need food and water, breathe, move on their own and have young ones. Plants, animals and people are living things.
- Non-living things do not grow, eat or breathe. A chair, a stone and a toy car are non-living. A toy car moves only when someone pushes it or a battery makes it go.
