Force and pressure

Hello! Today's demo lesson is Force and pressure. Here is the big idea, one step at a time:
- A force is a push or a pull. It can start or stop movement, change speed or direction, or change an object's shape. Force is measured in newtons (N).
- Pressure is how much force acts on each unit of area. Pressure = force ÷ area. Its unit is newtons per square metre (N/m²), also called the pascal (Pa).
- The same force causes more pressure on a smaller area. That is why a sharp knife cuts better than a blunt one, and why camels' wide feet stop them sinking in sand.
